Galileo Galilei International airport - Best option for central Italy

Pisa International, is a small and easy airport terminal to find your way around. Time taken landing and bussed into the baggage hall took no more than 15 minutes,a short wait at the baggage carousel and we were making our way out of the airport,to the car hire hall.We found Pisa the best option being so easy to find and less stressful driving conditions especially if it’s your first time in Italy.

The earlier you book your flight the cheaper it can be, on budget airlines, and remember to check weight limits, being over weight can cost you extra per kilo this we know to well, it cost us 40 euro leaving and 40 euro on the return journey with Ryanair 5 kilo over weight at 8 euro per kilo, because we thought that if only used one suitcase, we could share our weight in one case, [not so the case].

The golden rule, is to read all the airline policy and save yourself the agro and frustration.
Travel tip , if you only need one suitcase take a near empty one also, think of the presents you can return with and make a lot of people happy, and don’t be one of the hundreds rooting through cases looking to see what can be left behind because of airline over weight charges, I hope this is helpful and don’t do like we did…bon voyage….
